'A vital resource for all writers looking to get published, including authors, poets and screenwriters.'

This is the 118th* edition of the essential guide to publishing. The guide covers a plethora of markets and provides listings for all of them, which includes:

  • newspapers, magazines, and press agencies

  • book publishers and literary agents in the UK (and some in the US)

audio providers and distributors

  • TV, radio, and theatre producers

  • book and comic illustrators

I particularly like the listings for libraries, writers retreats, writing courses and book-related sites and podcasts; and there is lots of information on societies, prizes, festivals, and poetry organisations.

The yearbook also features articles on writing for the different markets (for example, how to write poetry and videogames), and on how bookshops can help you sell your book and how to publish an audiobook. You’ll also find additional resources on things like finances, law, copyright, and taxes.
